Man its been unrelentingly hot here in Leeds, and nationally, since I finsshed my exams two weeks ago.

Last week were on holiday in Rachel’s parents’ caravan, and after adapting to a world designed for midgets had a cracking time. Really relaxing.

Now back on form, and doing a bit of work and a bit of play, and basically letting things get back to normal after the intense death crush of last semesters’ end.

Of to Stabcon in Manchester this weekend coming, to play board and card games with the usual Drinking posse, so that should be a laugh.

..nearly there at the holy grail that is end of exams, but man I’m i bored!!!

Yippee!!! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for my Java assignment. I have only to finsh off the last bit of functionallity, and then add whistles and bells (which aren’t strictly necessary…but will get me a higher mark!).

Was a good boy last night and went to bed at 2am.Up bright and early, did my Tai-chi and then did two hours of reading for Java. Lovely.

Now on my lunch break checking out Classic Gaming over at the Gamespy network

Still blazing hot…cats are coming upstairs to where I pound the computer keyboard to pass out…but somehow I remain cool.

Yesterday was the triumphant day of University work..started at 10am finished at 10pm! Did loads on my Java and even did a couple of hours of revision. Then stayed up and played Weapons Fortress UT (a cracking MOD sort of a Heavy Metal version of Team Fortress Classic) until 3 which was ace

..but kinda blew it for today, since its taken guts and determination to do half of what I did yesterday. However despite it all I’ve still managed to get stuff done.

HOORAH!

Still sweating out in the heat. One would think that I lived on Mars not South Leeds…..but then again.

Still recovering from the Epic boozefest that was Friday night, a night on the town with Rachels’ work colleagues a nice bunch by all accounts.

Good news is that I’ve really got ahead with my latest Java Assignment….expect a copy of my “Make A Pizza” Application in a couple of weeks. Really cool that its coming along nicely since I have to have it up and running by Friday!!!

Gah the heat.

Spent all day todaychilling out and doing Magical weirdness stuff, the results you can check out here.

Oh yes and I’ve started a new section called CYBERJOURNAL, which ment all sorts of nice web designing nonsense, check it out.

Okay so I know its only late spring, but the hot weather is truly upon us.

Finished my Literature Review last Tuesday, and then proceeded to have a bit of a nervous breakdown. Recovered in time for the weekend..the best being Saturday Night when I went out to see The Mummy Returns (verdict like the first one, + then some, top 🙂 ), curried and then drank and smoke until the early hours of the morning. Top blokes night out!

My brother George came round last night, from his college in Wakefield, which was nice since we’ve both been busy for the last 3 months or so.

Had a good day today, got a good chunk of my Java out of the way. Certainly past the worse of this terms’ Assignment/Exam pressure.

Nearly finsihed the epic that is the literature Review. Quick clean up tomorrow and then hand it in.
Then get moderatly drunk. Only one more month to go then all the exams and assignments are out of the way.

Amen to that.

…or rather lack of one. Busy plodding away at my Litrature Review for my Masters….so while Rach has been to her parents for her dads’ birthday…and the rest of the world went on the piss last night…I stayed in hammering the keyboard.

Much the same today..got up 9ish…watched the end of this mornings Dr Who Omnibus..then by 10 I was at it again.

Had some human contact around lunch time when a pair of mad christians (you know the “were so normal you can see the absence of any soul” type) came round doing a “community survey” since which ever mad soul less sect they belong to is thinking of setting up a church in the area.

Classic Q&A session though from the half-brain dead Mr Newt though;

Q. “What do you think needs doing in the local area”

My answer “Unblocking the drains during summer….well they smell bad”

Q. “Why do you think people don’t go to Church”

My answer “Because they are not Christians”

oh yes hours of soul sapping fun.

They disappeared, after having the cheek to ask my name (no I’m not having you round again….being all familiar and trying to convince me to join your mad cult) and I got back to work .

About 5 Rachel returned home….and I reallised how cranky I was. Have been destressing ever since…just had a lovely bath…a nice chinese take out is also on the cards…

Then back to the Front….
